BIO
Our story started completely by accident at 12:30 AM on a random autumn night in 2015, inside a cultural bar in Košice called Tabačka. Denny was working behind the bar, serving drinks with a raspy, tired voice, and Ľuboš was ordering a beer. Ľuboš simply asked, 'Wow, do you sing?' and that one question changed everything. Shortly after, Denny walked into a rehearsal room and sang a cover of Dusty Springfield’s 'Son of a Preacher Man'. In that exact second, an undeniable musical chemistry sparked between us. We didn’t have a big plan or a budget; we just had a shared, burning need to make music without boundaries. We spent the next years writing songs during long road trips, rehearsing right inside our car, and practicing for hours in a tiny home studio in Kysak. We were just two people creating a safe space where we could put our rawest emotions into sound
Breaking Borders & International Acclaim
Originating from Kysak, Slovakia, the indie-pop duo DENNYIAH defines their musical style as 'Human Pop.'Their breakthrough debut single 'Kingdom' reached the #1 spot on the Slovak radio charts.
Dennyiah Continuously expanding their musical boundaries, the duo has collaborated with the Prague Philharmonic and performed live alongside the Bratislava Philharmonic during the live broadcast of the 'Slnko v sieti' National Film Awards. Their cross-border recognition was further solidified with a prestigious nomination for the Czech Anděl Awards (Coca-Cola 2023) in the Slovak Album category for their acclaimed release Eternal Sunshine.
The music video for their track 'Recall' won two accolades at the international No Stress Music Video Awards (Best Music Video and Best Low Budget) and had its official US premiere at the 45th Denver Film Festival.
Internationally, they have performed on major stages such as the United Islands of Prague festival, Festival atmosféra, light of understanding and many more.
To deliver a global standard of sound, DENNYIAH works alongside multi-Grammy-nominated producer Nic Hard and mastering engineer Dave McNair. Their studio records feature collaborations with top-tier international musicians, including drummer Keith Carlock (Sting, John Mayer), percussionist Marcelo Woloski, and keyboardist Justin Stanton (both from Snarky Puppy). Their string sections were written and arranged by the Grammy-winning superstar arranger and violinist Nathan Schram.

At the heart of DENNYIAH lies a genre-bending musical identity they proudly coined as "Human Pop." This signature style intentionally strips away rigid boxes, labels, and definitions to deliver music in its most organic, raw, and unfiltered form.
Their sound is a living map of their geographical and emotional journey—a breathtaking fusion that carries the grounded, earthy roots of small-town Slovakia (Kysak and Košice), the rugged, isolated silence of Iceland’s wild landscapes, and the vibrant, driving energy of New York and Sweden. Living in a "Magic Bus" on a Nordic island or recording in top-tier American studios directly shaped their eccentric artistic choices, blending European songwriting sensitivity with world-class production textures.
Musically, DENNYIAH seamlessly weaves elements of pop, indie soul, and acoustic noir into a deeply cinematic and evocative atmosphere. They do not shy away from eccentric choices, using unorthodox arrangements and hypnotic rhythms to pierce through the noise of modern music.
